Another Tattoo Doodle

Any thoughts/comments from anyone who sees this post?

Painted Tattoo Design Doodles

In my potential tattoo design I'm trying to include  the word "Love" because of the "To Write Love on Her Arms" campaign to raise awareness of depression/suicide and encourage people to get help when they need it. I also want to express that "It's always darkest before the dawn", that there is always hope in life, and that while your life may seem to be burning to ashes around you, you can always be reborn--stronger and better--from those same ashes. Freedom and soaring to new heights of emotion and success are also concepts that I'd kind of like to convey. It seems to me to be a lot to fit into one image. But these are my attempts so far...

Photo taken with my camera phone, it came out better than I thought it would. The words written on the wings and body are "Hope", "Love", "Bright" and "Life"

Photo below taken with my camera phone. It came out better than I was expecting. The words on the wings read "Life" [Left] and "Love" [Right]. This was my second doodle. I think it's a bit better than the first.

New Fandom

It's [the show] really good. And the recs I've read in the Sherlock (modern) fandom I really like, but I'm not having any luck finding good fics on my own. :( Any suggestions?

queasy of a mushroom tile

I had a dream involving myself, my Mom, and Jessica Fletcher (the author on Murder She Wrote, an old-ish TV show).

Apparently Mrs. Fletcher's latest manuscript just came back from her editor and now she wants my Mom and I to look at it. (Why? I don't know.) So as we're sitting down at some generic meeting room or waiting room type table she says something about there being a joke in here somewhere that she wants us to read. Then she hands us each part of her manuscript. My part starts on page 51 near the bottom. (Why page 51, I don't know... I want to know why the text started around the bottom of the page when it wasn't a new chapter.) My Mom and I make some comment(s) about how at least it's shorter than the bios my Grandfather sent out for the upcoming family reunion on everyone who might be there. My Mom didn't read them, she has better things to do with her time than read 60 pages of family biographical information. My comment suggests that it's actually 60 pages per person. And then we start to read.
It's almost like my Grandmother is talking in a letter to my Grandfather that might be read aloud. "The tile in the [characters] hotel bathroom is "queasy of a mushroom pizza" colored and I don't mean anything other than that about it, as Tanya should have just broken a plate when she gets home and hears that.
Next to the comfortable chair is a read Tom Clancy novel, and you should be grateful that there is a terror of a child next door that woke me at 2am as otherwise I'd be reading it again."
I woke up around then somewhere on page 52 and mightily amused by the tile description of the tile. I think some author out there needs to use that tile description... it's kinda great.

Wish Right Now

I was thinking about my last post yesterday as I go for a follow up appointment about the thing I talked about in my last post tomorrow when I got into the car and the song below was playing. This is another song that kind of musically represents those feelings I was talking about.

This song (below) came on not long after Airplanes and also made me think of that post... mostly the chorus.

It's Scary...

How much of a relief it is to tell someone.
How much of a relief it is to get help.
If thoughts that should be scary are echoing in your head and sounding reasonable. Don't wait. Tell someone and get some help.
The relief when you do might make you cry. So go, tell someone. (Someone you trust.)

To me, these songs kinda sum up parts of what I'm talking about.

Cover Art!

First, I'm still ahead of the purple line, and according to Nano I'll finish writing on November 26th and I'm writing an average of 1952 words per day. I don't think I'm done writing for the day just yet, but I'm currently at...

I found a fabulous graphic artist on the Nanowrimo forums and asked for a cover, a sig banner, and an icon.

This is the fabulous cover dust-to-dustcircles on the Nano forums made me. \o/ FTW \o/ And the banner may be found in the same scrapbook gallery as the cover. :D

Nano... 18/22 though it looks like 19/22

I'm trying to complete this novel-y endeavor by the end of the day on the 24th of November. In order to do that I need to be writing an average of 2,083-2,084 words a day. According to nanowrimo.org I'm currently averaging 1909 words per day and will finish writing on the 27th. *sigh* Back to typing then.
